Our Process
In order to begin the process, you must first, complete our online franchise application. Upon confidential review of your information and preliminary approval, we will notify you of our mutual interest.
Once your application has been received, you will be contacted by a Company Representative. We want to meet you either online or in person in order to get to know each other, to answer any of your additional questions and to see to what extent we can put things in motion. You will fill out some additional paperwork and receive our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). The FDD will explain in depth who we are and what the franchising process entails. The FDD has a lot of legal language and it is required by federal and provintial regulators, so if you’ve never seen one before, it may seem complicated. We can answer any questions you have about the contents of the FDD. You legally have a minimum of 14 days to review this document before you are allowed to sign any binding contracts or make any payments toward your franchise investment. We also include a generic copy of the franchise agreement that you would sign if you were to move forward with it. Before you sign an agreement with us, we encourage you to review it with your accountant and/or a franchise attorney.
Following consultation with your advisors, our next step is to sign the Franchise Agreement and pay the initial franchise fees. Once the agreement and franchise fee have been received and finalized, you will be an official franchisee. Congratulations, you have made the decision to Rule Your Future as a Seeds franchisee!
After you’ve signed your Franchise Agreement, we begin taking the concrete steps necessary to open your Seeds restaurant. It’s time to dive into the tasks and duties required to get your store up and running — site selection, lease negotiations, design and construction, training, etc. You’ll never be left alone during this process. Our dedicated team supports you heavily during this phase. We develop a customized plan for each new store and help you stay on track with your goals. You’ve found just the right location. You submit a proposal to your Company Representative who negotiates the financials and business terms with the landlord. A letter of intent and draft lease is sent to TDM Leasing, or TDM Leasing Canada, ULC for review and negotiations. Once the lease is complete, you will sign a lease for the space.
This is your big day! Take a deep breath, make sure everything is in order and unlock the front door. It’s time to start building a loyal base of healthy salads, burrito-loving fanatics. And then, relax again, our franchise support team will be there to help you along the way! We will continue to provide you with ongoing support to ensure your new store is a success!
